LOS ANGELES (Feb. 15th, 2018) -- The Gladiators Legion are excited to announce their roster for the upcoming North American Overwatch Contenders League.

Byong Ho “Panker” Lee is a main tank from Ansan, Korea. He competed in Overwatch APEX Seasons 1-3 as part of Team KongDoo Uncia. Last fall, Panker moved to Canada to compete for Toronto Esports. He remained with the team prior to joining the Gladiators Legion.

Corey “Corey” Nigra is a DPS from Bensalem, PA. He began playing Overwatch competitively as a hitscan player in Season 3.  The first organization he joined was Evil Geniuses, with whom he remained until the fall of 2017.

Daniel “gods” Graeser is a flex DPS for the Gladiators Legion. From a small town in Mississippi, gods has played several roles across many teams. He placed 2nd at the OG Invitational with Luminosity Gaming, then competed in APAC Premier 2016, Overwatch Open, and Overwatch APEX Season 1 with NRG eSports. In early 2017, gods joined Cloud9 and competed in Overwatch APEX Season 2.

Jeffrey “Blase” Tsang is a flex DPS from Burke, Virginia. He started playing Overwatch competitively in open beta and played at the top of tier 2 with the team Straight Outta Comp Queue for a few months. Soon after, he found a new home with the Gladiators Legion.

Mark “Pookz” Rendon is a support player. Originally from Orange County, he began his professional career with Luminosity Gaming, where he placed 2nd at the OG Invitational. He then moved onto NRG eSports and competed in the Overwatch Open, APAC Premier 2016, and Overwatch APEX Season 1. Pookz’s most recent team was Kungarna, where he placed 3rd/4th in Overwatch Contenders Season 0: North America.

Randal “Roolf” Stark is the team’s flex support. Hailing from Fort St. James, BC, he has been playing Overwatch since early beta. Roolf began playing competitively in March 2016, hopping from team to team until he joined 1Shot, which later became Method. After ELEAGUE, he was picked up by Cloud9 and stayed with the organization until October 2017. Roolf has also played for Team Canada in both World Cup 2016 and 2017, placing 2nd in 2017.

Gannon “RaptorZ” Nelson is the head coach for the team. Prior to his work with Gladiators Legion, RaptorZ served as the head coach and analyst for compLexity from Sept 2016 to March 2017. During that time, the team placed 3rd/4th at DreamHack Winter 2016 and 4th at the Overwatch Winter Premiere 2016/2017. RaptorZ continued in Overwatch as an analyst for Hammers Esports from May to July 2017, where he helped the team qualify for Contenders Season Zero. He also has experience casting events such as The Atlantic Showdown Qualifiers for NA, Creation Esports King of the Hill, and Wooridongne Game League Playoffs.
